About Us

My husband and I started an alpaca farm less than a year ago. We have 5 breeding females. One is due in June, two more in the fall. Two of my girls will be bred at the end of this month. Their babies will be due at the end of next April. Females are pregnant for 11 months. I have had to learn alot about these animals. Should have started long ago. We had our first shearing yesterday. Alpacas need to be sheared yearly. You can send your fleece into shows and also have it processed. I had mine last year processed into roving. This year batts. I have also been spinning my fleece. We have 5 acreas and do not want more than 20. Gradually we are building our own herd.
